Rafting Apurimac

DAY 1: We meet yo at your hotel at 8.30 am. From Cusco we drive 4 hours through the Andes to the put-in at Huallpachaca bridge 2,000 mts.altitude. It will take us a couple hours to prepare all the equipment , self-bailing rafts, oars,paddles, coolers, helmets, lifejackets, wet suits etc. you will be given a safety talk and drills into rafting technics. We will put emphasis in training all the participants, in how to get back into the raft, fliping the raft, swimming a rapid etc.
You will be floating for 2 hours more or less, doing class II and III rapids. Camp will be in a narrow gorge with impressive walls . Here the guides will prepare dinner. (L+D)
River Rafting
DAY 2: After a healthy breakfast we start rafting around 9:00 am. Today we will be in the water for about 6 hours, doing mostly class III and IV rapids, stopping for lunch and arriving to camp around 4:00 pm , today we´ll have tea time, dinner and sleep on a sandy beach under the night sky of the southern hemisphere (B+L+D).

DAY 3: After a good breakfast we are going to be rafting through a couple of class V rapids . There are rapids with names such as “tooth ache”, “you first”,”last laugh” .. Again twice we will have to walk around a couple of rapids. After 3 to 4 hours of rafting we will arrive to the take out where we pack all the equipment and drive back to Cusco, arriving around 5:00 pm (B+L)

Does not include: International & national airfares (to and from Lima), tips, airport departure taxes or visa fees, excess baggage charges, additional nights during the trip due to flight cancellations, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages or bottled water, non described meals & snacks, insurance of any kind, laundry, phone calls, radio calls or messages, reconfirmation of international flights and items of personal nature

Light tennis shoes or sport sandals and socks, Light volume sleeping bag and a sleeping mat, Cap or hat for the sun and sunscreen, Flash light with spare batteries, Water canteen, Mosquito Repellent, Sweatshirt / light pants & T-shirt for camping.
