DAY 1: ARRIVING TO MALDONADO - LODGE. (BxL,D)

Upon arrival to Puerto Maldonado, you will be greeted by one or more of our guides and then taken to a waiting vehicle.
You will take a short ride to our operations office in Puerto Maldonado where we will ask you to store luggage you won't need in the following days.

Luggage is hand-carried at various stages in the trip for long distance so we ask you to please limit your weight to 15 kilos (32 pounds). We recommend you to pack separate bags and safely leave them at our storage in Puerto Maldonado on the first day so we won’t be carrying them around. Your big bag will be waiting for you at the airport the day you leave.

Amazon Boat

After taking care of luggage, we take a 40-minute drive to the Infierno Community Port where we board long, sturdy canoes equipped with outboard motors and head upstream to Refugio or Posada Amazonas.

Note: You are in charge of arriving to Puerto Maldonado, by plane. Our Services start and finish in Maldonado. This day you should arrive from 11 am - 12 pm.


DAY 2: REFUGIO or POSADA AMAZONAS: A LA CARTE ACTIVITIES. (B,L,D)

The night before our guide will recommend the best activities from which according to your interests you can choose the following activities:

DAY 4: LODGE - MALDONADO - CUSCO or LIMA. (B)

•Transfer-out Lodge to Puerto Maldonado: Daily departures at 07:00 and 08:00 am

Transfer Tambopata River Port to Puerto Maldonado Headquarters

Transfer Puerto Maldonado Headquarters to Airport. We retrace our river and road journey back to Puerto Maldonado, our office and the airport. Depending on airline schedules, this may require dawn departures.


Note: This day you should book and leave on the last available flight in the afternoon in LATAM

INCLUDED IN THE PRICES ACCORDING TO THE ITINERARY:

Does not include: International or domestic airfares (to or from Maldonado), Services Taxes or visa fees, excess baggage charges, tips, additional nights during the trip due to flight cancellations, alcoholic beverages or bottled water, snacks, insurance of any kind, laundry, phone calls, radio calls or messages, reconfirmation of flights and items of personal nature.


BOOKING & PAYMENT FOR THE TRIP:

- To reconfirm and book we will need you to send a deposit of 40% of the trip's price ASAP.

- The remaining balance has to be paid 90 days before your trip.

THE LODGE

Refugio Amazonas is a 32-bedroom jungle lodge; all rooms have an authentic Ese-Eja décor which has been crafted by artists from the local community of Infiern. Mosquito Net, Hot Shower, Eco-friendly toiletries, Hammock, Safe Deposit Box, Wifi (Common areas)

The nutritious meals are mainly prepared with organic and local farm products with special regional seasoning. Meals include vegetarian options..
