DAY 1: LIMA – PARACAS
Transportation to the bus station to take the touristy bus to Paracas. After a 3 ½ hours ride through arid desert and lush coastal oasis arrive to Paracas and transportation to the hotel. Rest of the day free to relax and enjoy the ocean/beach. Overnight in Paracas.

NOTE: You are in charge of arriving to Lima and leaving from Cusco: by plane, train or Bus. Our Services start in Lima and finish in Cusco. You have to arrive to Lima on this day early in the morning or the night before.

Nazca Lines
DAY 2: ISLAS BALLESTA – PARACAS DESERT – NAZCA
Excursion by boat to the Ballestas Islands (known as "the Galapagos of Peru) to view thousands of birds, sea lions and fur seals in their natural surroundings. The famous candlestick design, a Nazca civilization figure etched on the desert face, can also be seen from the boat. Later visit the Paracas reserve. In the afternoon transportation to the bus station to take the touristy bus to Nazca. After a 3 hours ride through arid desert, arrival and transportation to the hotel. Overnight Nazca. (B)

DAY 3: NAZCA – CHAUCHILLA – AREQUIPA
Morning flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines (30 minutes); only seen from the air, later you'll visit the Chauchilla cemetery, where skulls, mummies and pottery shards litter the desert. Rest of the day free to relax. At night transportation to the bus station to take the touristy bus to Arequipa (9 hrs). (B)
DAY 4: AREQUIPA
Upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Later visit the Santa Catalina Monastery and the Juanita mummy Museum.
Free afternoon. Overnight Arequipa. (B)

DAY 5: AREQUIPA – COLCA
Early morning drive from Arequipa to Chivay trough the Aguada Blanca National Reserve where you will observe Vicuñas wandering on the high plateau. On the way we will enjoy nice views of the Volcanoes: Misti, Chachani and Ampato.
In the afternoon take a hike and visit the Calera Hotsprings (entrance fees not included). Overnight Colca Valley. (B)
Pisac Ruins
DAY 6: COLCA CANYON – PUNO
Tour of the Colca Canyon: Early departure to the Cruz del Condor site, the best place to admire the Colca Canyon and the Condor’s flight. On the way it is possible to appreciate archaeological remains, Incan terraces still on use and typical towns like Maca, Achoma and Yanque. After Lunch bus ride from Chivay to Puno, (5-6 hours), Overnight Puno. (B)
DAY 7: TITICACA LAKE
Full day excursion to the beautiful Titicaca Lake , the highest navigable lake in the world. Visit the Floating Islands made of Totora reeds: Uros with the population that still live as their ancestors did a thousand years ago. Later visit the Taquile island a remarkable community also with a great ethnic and cultural value; with the best weavers in the region. Quechua, the language of the Incas is kept alive and the islanders preserve their traditional very old costumes and treat visitors in a very welcoming fashion. Pm return to the hotel in Puno. (B, L)

Note: We use a fast boat for this tour.
Pisac Ruins
DAY 8: PUNO - CUSCO
This day you will have a bus ride with guided visits or you can choose to ride on the 1st class Orient Express train without ANY tours and an EXTRA cost of US$240 per person. Train only available on: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Bus ride from Cusco to Puno visiting on the way the Pucara Museum, the temple of Wiracocha or Raqchi (a very impressive Inca site) and a very beautiful chapel: Andahuaylillas; known as Sistine chapel of South America. You will also have other stops for lunch & photos. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Cusco. (B, L)
- Bus Departure: 7 am / Arrival: 5 pm
- Train (non stop) Departure: 8 am / Arrival: 6-7 pm

DAY 9: CUSCO
Free morning to visit the city and its museums: Inca, Preculumbian Art & The Machupicchu Museum.
Afternoon Combined tour; visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. (B)
Note: Whenever it will be possible; to avoid the crowds and in the high season we will program this tour in the morning.
DAY 10: MORAY - THE SALT MINES – MARAS
8:30 am – 1 pm: Visit MORAY a very unique archaeological site in the region; enormous natural depressions where the Incas built huge circular agricultural terraces used as a prototype of a greenhouse or experimental biological station, very advanced for its age. Enjoy beautiful views of the farming fields and the Urubamba snow capped range going towards MARAS and the famous “Inca Salt mines” that are constituted by more than 3000 small pools constructed in a slope, where people extract the salt still using the same traditional methods as 500 years ago. Later drive to Cusco to overnight. Free afternoon. (B)
Pisac Ruins
DAY 11: SACRED VALLEY: AWANACANCHA, PISAC RUINS, MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO
Visit a farm where you will see and take nice pictures of alpacas, llamas, vicunas & guanacos, also we will see and learn (step by step) how Andean people still make very beautiful textiles using very old traditional techniques.Continue to PISAC located right at the entrance to the Sacred Valley, the amazing Inca city that constitutes one of the most important Archaeological Parks in the region. Visit the fine temples, palaces and the well preserved and vast farming terraces; built even as far as the edge of precipices that still keep their straight sometimes vertical aqueducts; an imposing and unforgettable sight that also offers very beautiful landscapes. Visit PISAC the Colonial Village, where you will see the famous "Indian Market" and the handicrafts or "souvenirs" market, this is your chance to enjoy a blend of color, traditions and people, and bargain for exotic craft-works.
After Lunch at Urubamba Village, tour to the oldest continuously inhabited dwellings in South America, where people are still living in the same houses and palaces as 500 years ago; the ancient Incan town of OLLANTAYTAMBO, with its very impressive constructions built with huge boulders and its ancient heritage that will leave us astonished. Finally catch the train to Aguas Calientes town (1 1/2 hours). Overnight Aguas Calientes. (B,L)
Note: The Pisac Market is everyday, on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays is bigger but more crowded; not so good for visiting the ruins in Pisac and Ollantaytambo and for photos
DAY 12: MACHUPICCHU - HUAYNAPICCHU - CUSCO
Early visit of Machupicchu to spot the amazing sun rise and for the guided visit (2 1/2 hours) of its wonderful temples, palaces, etc. Later on your own take short hikes to the Sun Gate, Montana Machupicchu, Huaynapicchu Peak (if available), the temple of the Moon, and the Inca Bridge. Afternoon train ride to Ollantaytambo (1 1/2 hours) and return to Cusco by bus (1 1/2 hours) (B)
Machupicchu
NOTES:
- If you are interested in climbing to Huaynapicchu or Montana Machupicchu the entrance fees are Included but you have to let us know in advance, we must buy tickets ASAP, there is a short limit per day.
- If you wish you can stay 1 extra night in Aguas Calientes and have 1 more day for visiting Machupicchu but you will have to pay extra for: the 3 star hotel ($80 - twin room or $70 - single room) and for the next day entrance fees for Machupicchu + Huaynapicchu ($70 pp) and bus tickets (US$28pp)

DAY 13: CUSCO – LIMA - USA
Transfer to the airport for departure flight. (B)
