DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: ARRIVING TO CUSCO
Upon arrival reception, assistance and transfer to the selected hotel; where you should take a short rest to adjust better to the altitude (11,000 ft a.s.l.)
Optional activity: Typical lunch (taste guinea pig or alpaca if you wish) at a local restaurant with an amazing view of the city and visit an alpaca clothes factory. Lunch not included but you will have a free transportation
Note: You are in charge of arriving to Cusco, by plane, train or Bus. Our Services start and finish in Cusco.

DAY 2: CUSCO
Free morning to visit the city and its museums: Inca, Preculumbian Art & The Machupicchu Museum.
Afternoon Combined tour; visit the Koricancha (Temple of the Sun), Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. (B)
Note: Whenever it will be possible; to avoid the crowds and in the high season we will program this tour in the morning.
DAY 3: SACRED VALLEY: AWANACANCHA, PISAC RUINS, MARKET & OLLANTAYTAMBO
Visit a farm where you will see and take nice pictures of alpacas, llamas, vicunas & guanacos, also we will see and learn (step by step) how Andean people still make very beautiful textiles using very old traditional techniques.
Continue to PISAC located right at the entrance to the Sacred Valley, the amazing Inca city that constitutes one of the most important Archaeological Parks in the region. Visit the fine temples, palaces and the well preserved and vast farming terraces; built even as far as the edge of precipices that still keep their straight sometimes vertical aqueducts; an imposing and unforgettable sight that also offers very beautiful landscapes. Visit PISAC the Colonial Village, where you will see the famous "Indian Market" and the handicrafts or "souvenirs" market, this is your chance to enjoy a blend of color, traditions and people, and bargain for exotic craftworks.
Pisac Ruins
After Lunch at Urubamba Village, tour to the oldest continuously inhabited dwellings in South America, where people are still living in the same houses and palaces as 500 years ago; the ancient Incan town of OLLANTAYTAMBO, with its very impressive constructions built with huge boulders and its ancient heritage that will leave us astonished. Overnight Ollantaytambo. (B, L)
Note: The Pisac Market is everyday, on Tuesday, Thursdays and Sundays is bigger but more crowded; not so good for visiting the ruins in Pisac and Ollantaytambo and for photos
DAY 4: SACRED VALLEY - MACHUPICCHU
Train ride to Aguas Calientes town (1 1/2 hours), bus ride to Machupicchu (1/2 hour)and private guided visit (2 1/2 hours) of the "Holy City of the Incas", the highlight of any trip to South America. Free afternoon to explore on your own with less people. Overnight Aguas Calientes. Optional visit of the hotsprings (tickets not included) (B)

Machupicchu
DAY 5: MACHUPICCHU – HUAYNAPICCHU - CUSCO
On your own, early visit of Machupicchu; to spot the amazing sun rise and take the optional short hikes to the Sun gate, Montana Machupichu, Huaynapicchu Peak (if available), the temple of the Moon, and the Inca Bridge. Afternoon return to Ollantaytambo by train (1 1/2 hours) and transfer by bus to the hotel (1 1/2 hours). (B)
Note: If you are interested in climbing to Huaynapicchu or Montana Machupicchu the entrance fees are Included but you have to let us know in advance, we must buy tickets ASAP, there is a short limit per day.

DAY 6: CUSCO – LA PAZ
At convenient time transfer to the airport to take the international flight to La Paz. Reception and transfer to the hotel to overnight. (B)
DAY 7: LA PAZ: CITY TOUR AND MOON VALLEY HALF DAY: 3 - 4 hours
On pre-arranged time we depart from the hotel towards the cable car, this is an interesting and amazing way of transportation where we can see the wonderful city then we go to the Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna), a spectacular earth formation near the city, created by the wind and erosion of the area, we continue visiting the residential areas of the south part. We also visit the Killi Killi panoramic viewpoint, from here is possible to see a great part of La Paz; continuing our visit, we see the main square Plaza Murillo, where the government buildings are located, such as the Palacio de Gobierno, Senate and the Cathedral. Finally we go to the Indian and Witches markets, where we can make some purchases of souvenirs and maybe a lucky charm. (B)
La Paz
DAY 8: LA PAZ - UYUNI - SILOLI
Departure by plain to Uyuni, the flight takes around 60min, arrival, reception and transfer to a local restaurant for a second breakfast for those passengers arriving in the first flight (flight not included). Our trip starts visiting the train cemetery only at 5 minutes from Uyuni, after that we head south passing by San Cristóbal village which has been moved from its original site to the actual one (even the church!) for the needs of one the biggest mines in the world. We continue southwest crossing the desert areas of Valle de las Rocas, lunch will be served on the way like a picnic. We enter into the area of the lagoons: Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramaditas, where we will see a good quantity of the three kinds of flamingos and other birds as Andean gulls and wild ducks. These birds live on the lagoons alongside of the volcanoes with their eternal snow on the top and their green sides mixed with other colors made by the borax and sulfur. Finally we will be arriving to our lodge located in the middle of the Siloli Desert. Welcome dinner, accommodation in comfortable rooms with heat and a well deserved hot water shower (Only from 18:00 to 22:00) (B, BxL, D)

DAY 9: Early departure to Laguna Colorada, entering the protected area of the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve, we pass by the Stone Tree while we cross the desert. On the way there is a big chance to observe wild Vicuñas, foxes and perhaps some other Andean animals. Then we will arrive to the Geysers of Sol de mañana during the most active moment. This will be the highest altitude of the tour; we will be at 5000 meters above the sea level. The cold is intense and we will be able to walk among the smoky and noisy geysers, boiling mud stew pot where red and grey mud is boiling like water. The desert and Salar of Chalviri are sceneries of big value which combine the white of the snow and the borax with the red brown of the desert and with the blue of the water. In that place we will have the opportunity to take a bath in the Hot Springs of Polques and then to have a delicious open air lunch.
Laguna Colorada
Then we will take the way to the Ladies of the Desert, Chef d’oeuvre of the wind work. The columns of stones sculpted by the wind shows fantastic colors. After that we will arrive at the feet of Licancabur volcano to appreciate La Laguna Verde (the Green Lagoon, one of the pearls of the reserve). Afterwards we head north to enter the Valley of Rocks at Villamar (3h away), overnight at Mallku Cueva Lodge. Welcome dinner and overnight in rooms with electrical blanket included. (B, BxL, D)

DAY 10: After breakfast we departure into the Valley of Rocks but this time from the northern part in order to enter to San Vicente and have a short stop at the Gallaxia caves where we will find a cactus sanctuary and petrified stromatolites and finally a Chullpas cemetery (ancestral burying) and then enter to the Salar from the south part with the first visit at the Incahuasi Island which is one of the central tourist attractions. We will follow the little path to arrive at the top of the island from where we will get the amazing 360º view on the Salar.
Picnic lunch and free time for photos and to enjoy the amazing views. We will see water bubbling on the service, known as ‘Ojos de Salar’, which comes from the underground river of the Tunupa Volcano. Afterwards we drive towards the village of Colchani to visit the salt factories and souvenirs market. Finally, we head back across the salt flats arriving to our hotel at sunset. Ranked in the world’s top ten most unique hotels; this offers an unexpected level of comfort with facilities constructed entirely out of salt with stunning views out to the lake. Once we have checked in we will have time to explore the hotel and relax before our evening meal in the restaurant. (B, L, D)

In the rainy season from November to March, the SALT FLATS could be flooded in that case passengers will visit the salt eyes, impressive for its geology and cross the salt flat as much as possible to enjoy a beautiful landscape. The entire salt flat is completely cover with water and it becomes in a white giant mirror where the sky is reflected perfectly and everything seems to be floating in the air. This scenery is a paradise for photography lovers because of the effects that can be achieved.
